The Furloughed Writer

Hi, all!

This is brought to you from furlough. Like a lot of you out there, my workplace has decided that they don’t have enough work, neither the capacity, to keep everyone employed right now – it is tough, there’s a lot of time for inner thoughts to set in. But, one great thing about this is that I’ve had all the time in the world to play out my dream as an author – days have been spent reading, writing and editing.

So, somehow you’ve found your way to my blog which, as you can tell, is a little bit boring right now. I’m not much of a blogger myself, but I do plan to keep this updated with book reviews (as I read an awful lot of books and review them on Goodreads and what have you already).

From time to time, I’ll do a bit more. I’ve got some ideas for a series on writing, I like to plot, plan and write in a certain way that I’m excited to share – I’ve collected a lot of tips from around the web and it’s always good to pass these on.

The main thing I’ve been working on, as you might have been able to tell from the name plastered (a few times) around my website: Outcast’s Blood. This is in the second draft stage right now, out with a few beta readers and I’ve already had some great feedback. The cover design is being taken care of by an awesome designer – but all in all, there will be more to come on it. You’ll start to see a lot more information about my upcoming debut as I get it, but for now, I’m just chipping away at it and will spare you the nitty-gritty.

Please look around my site, feel free too message me, or visit Twitter where I’m most active.

I look forward to talking with you, and hope to hear your thoughts on my work when it hits!

Stay safe,

Dan
